1. Principles

Videoff is designed to minimize data collection. Videos you download are stored locally in your browser, never on our servers beyond the time required to complete the download.

2. Data collected

• Account: email + hashed password (bcrypt) for authentication.
• License & device: a random identifier (UUID) generated by your browser, plus a non-identifying aggregate fingerprint (user agent, resolution, timezone, WebGL) to prevent license sharing across devices.
• Downloads: source URL and job progress. Files are deleted from our servers within 24 hours at most.
• Payments: processed by Stripe; we do not store card data.

3. What we do not collect

• Your extension browsing history.
• Videos stored in your local library.
• Browsing data for advertising purposes.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to support@videoff.video.
